Rising tourism figures are signaling a surge in demand from overseas buyers for the
Pattaya condo market, particularly in popular areas such as Pattaya.
Tourism officials reported nearly 22 million visitors to Thailand in 2012, with expectations of 24.5 million in 2013. Compared with 2011, arrivals rose 15% and revenue 24%, with visitors from China, Malaysia, Japan, Russia, South Korea, India, Laos, Australia, the UK, and Singapore.
Tourism Driving Property Demand
Asians are now among the biggest spenders on overseas homes. While London remains a target, many are looking closer to home — and Thailand is emerging as a top choice.
Pattaya is becoming one of the most favored destinations in Southeast Asia. Its international airport recorded 9.5 million arrivals and departures in 2012, up 13% year‑on‑year, outpacing Koh Samui and Chiang Mai.
